2016 Disney World Day 2 - Monday

Monday is our first full day in Disney and we headed to the Magic Kingdom. We kind of had a pretty ambitious plan for the day. I actually made Iphone wall papers for everyone of the general plan for the day with all of our FastPass and Dinner Reservations.

We never made it to the opening show  at Magic Kingdom on our last trip so we tried to make a point of doing it the first day. Unfortunately the park opened at 9 a.m. and the monorail didn't start running until 8:30. Since the opening show starts at 8:45 we decided to walk to the Magic Kingdom from our hotel. This was literally just as we were walking up. We caught the last second of the show.

The crane was there, but it wasn't set up when we first walked into the park.

We immediately ignored my plan and did Dumbo first. The seats were wet from the morning washdown and we got our pants wet. But does it look like we cared?

After Dumbo, we went and rode the Barnstormer. There was no hesitation from the boys on that, so from there we went and used our Fastpass for the 7 Dwarfs Mine Train. This was a ride Brayden had been looking forward to the whole time.

Everyone rode it, and with Anniston we were able to use the rider swap to ride it even more. Even Jax gave the ride a big thumbs up.

While Anniston couldn't ride it, Mommy and her went and rode on the carousel.

After they got off, we got right on and we had a blast on the carousel. After the carousel we rode the tea cups, and then finally Tab got her chance to ride the 7 dwarfs mine train.

Jax, really liked the witch trying to get in Snow White's House

Before that round of the 7 dwarfs mine train, Heather and John made it into the park and they first rode the Tea Cups. It was then that Marianne announced that she's never ridden Dumbo so we headed there again!

After Dumbo it was time for our Fastpass at Winnie the Pooh. That ride always had a huge wait the last time we went so we made sure to Fastpass it this time. Boy was that a really weird ride. I don't think anyone was a fan of it.

After Winnie the Pooh it was time for lunch so we headed to the Columbia Harbour House. We had heard this was a really good Counter Service restaurant, but it was a little seafood heavy so I was nervous. I ended up getting the tuna and Tab got the lobster roll. Unfortunately the lobster roll was chock full of onions so we traded food.

Me and Brayden found a hidden mickey in the restaurant. He became obsessed with finding these after I told him about it. It was good to keep him busy during down times while other people ate.

After lunch we had our Fastpass of Peter Pan. That was Brayden's favorite ride last time and we were really looking forward to this ride. It's always a lot of fun.

After Peter Pan was nap time. So we headed back to the room while others stayed out. This was the view from our balcony. Pretty amazing!

Our room was on the third floor. We could see the Castle, Contemporary, and the monorail.

Our boys were exhausted from the morning and had no problem napping. Even Tabitha and Anniston napped.

After nap time we rode "It's a Small World". It was Jackson's favorite ride when he was a baby and Anniston loved it this time. At one point she had to climb out of my lap and dance.

After It's a Small World, we had a fastpass for the Haunted Mansion, but it was broken down. After waiting for a little while we ended up going to dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern.  It timed out well that once dinner was over it was time for the Electrical Parade.

After the parade was fireworks. We left right after fireworks and because of where we stayed we were able to walk to our hotel and avoid everyone leaving at once.

Brayden and Grandma's favorite thing last time was the water parade that goes by the hotel every night at 10. So the boys headed to Grandma and Pop Pops room to wait for the parade and they all loved it again.

After that it was late and time for bed. The boys were tired and we had an early morning on Tuesday. But these two lucky boys got a view of a lit up Castle from their bed every night as they fell asleep. This was a really fun and enjoyable first full day!

2016 Disney World Day 1

After leaving at noon on Friday and spending the night twice, we made it to Disney World on Sunday. What did the kids want to do first? Miniature Golf! Sure you can do this anywhere but our kids are obsessed with golf right now and they've watched the YouTube videos of these courses many many times. Since this trip is all about them, this is our first stop.

Posing in Santa's sleigh

There are two courses, winter and summer. We chose the winter and they're both Christmas themed with Christmas music playing the whole time. This girl didn't play, but she danced up a storm.

After golf we went to check if our room was ready.

It wasn't, so we jumped on the monorail and headed to epcot.

Guess who we found!

We met Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Baymax all in Epcot. Jax was excited for Baymax and Mickey, and wasn't a big fan of Goofy or Minnie. He had told me before we came he'd give Minnie a kiss, but I guess he got a little shy.

Then we decided it was snack time. We got Mickey cupcakes with ears made of Oreos.

We wanted to go to Fantasmic so we got on the boat to go to hollywood studios. We had never been on this type of boat before.

We had lots of time to play in Mama Melrose because the service was so slow. The kids did great and took it in stride.

Ice cream is serious business.

Since we missed fantasmic we did the 3-D muppet show.

Jax had never experienced 3-D before, but if you look close you can see him reaching for stuff. It blew his mind!

After the Muppets we saw the new Star Wars fireworks. Can't really see it here, but I had to take a picture because my serious boy was actually smiling :)

Every time me and Tab tried to take a selfie they only shot low fireworks.

For some reason, my phone did a great job of photographing fireworks.

After the Star Wars fireworks, Brayden said for his birthday he wanted a light saber. He doesn't ask for much so I had to say yes.

After the fireworks, Jax immediately fell asleep in the stroller and slept all the way until we got back to the hotel. When we got back, he immediately woke up and we had a light saber duel.

Tomorrow all the snow delayed people join our trip!
